June 24 Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan Beketaev Marat Bakytzhanovich held a meeting with student volunteers from all regions of Kazakhstan.
The student of group U-19-2 Kozhakhmetov Marlen OP “Jurisprudence” presented to the Academy “Bolashaq” at the conference.
After the announcement of 2020 as the Year of Volunteer by President K.K. Tokayev, the justice authorities organized events to provide free legal aid to citizens with the participation of students of higher educational institutions of the Republic.
In order to provide qualified assistance to citizens, the territorial justice authorities organized a training seminar for students.
Approximately 1,500 student volunteers and master’s students of legal education programmes from 36 higher education institutions attended the courses.
During the conference the Minister of Justice summed up the results of the volunteers’ activity.
About 10,000 events and online consultations were organized in the Republic, for which more than 100 telephone lines were used. The work on providing legal assistance was also carried out through social networks. In total, more than 13000 people were consulted.
Free consultations for citizens were organized in major retail outlets, public service centres, crisis centres and places of detention.
Marat Bakytzhanovich noted that the interest and activity of students who took part in these events was high.
The Minister of Justice of the RK answered the questions of interest and thanked everyone for their work.
