Twenty-three years ago, on May 31, 1997, the Day of Remembrance of Victims of Political Repression was established by a presidential decree. Such an event was immortalized only in Kazakhstan, none of the CIS countries even thought about the fact that millions of their citizens in the 30-50s were tortured, tortured and shot in camps. And not only on the territory of Kazakhstan, but also in Siberia, the Urals and the Far East.
