On September 28th 2021 the academy “Bolashaq” was visited by representatives of the American Embassy in Kazakhstan: Sarah Smith – Media, Culture and Education Specialist and Ainur Sembaeva – Alumni Relations Coordinator. The meeting was organized by Professor Bayan Mukushevna Ibrayeva, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Professor at the Department of Foreign Languages and Intercultural Communication. Guests met with the administration of the Academy, represented by the Rector and Vice Rectors. During the meeting the rector acquainted the representatives of the Embassy with the main directions of the Academy. In turn the cultural and educational attache Sarah Smith shared the information about the Embassy’s programs, there is English Language Programs Department under the Embassy, the department activity is aimed at the support of English language learning in Kazakhstan, these programs are one of the Embassy’s long-term priorities. The Embassy also has programs to support the development of partnerships between U.S. and Kazakhstani universities. The programs are designed to build the scholarly and professional capacity of the university administrators and faculty, to improve and update the programs, and to promote academic mobility for undergraduate and graduate students. The meeting was held at a high professional level, with the hope for fruitful cooperation, the guests shared useful information for educational and scientific activities of teachers and staff of the university. At the end of the meeting the parties shared memorable gifts.
