On November 30, the pharmaceutical company Avita held an educational seminar on the topic: “Cough: A New Look at an Old Problem” for general practitioners, pulmonologists, allergists, otolaryngologists, pediatricians, and doctors from other specialties dealing with this issue. Teachers from the Pharmaceutical Disciplines Department were also invited to the seminar.
During the seminar, a lecture was delivered by Dr. Irina Yuryevna Mukatova, a pulmonologist, Professor, and Doctor of Medical Sciences.
During the lecture, the causes, mechanisms of cough formation, and its symptoms in the most common diseases were discussed. The classification of cough types and recommendations for treating cough depending on nosology and symptoms were covered. Various groups of medicinal products were reviewed, including new drugs.
At the end of the meeting, certificates were issued to all seminar participants.
