On January 14, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. “Bolashaq Academy” with the support of the Committee on Legislation and Legal Reform of the Majilis of the Parliament of the RK holds a Round Table on “Problems of protection of the rights of convicts and guarantees of torture prevention in the penal system of the RK”.
It is offered to discuss general theoretical, criminally-executive problems and questions of improvement of legal status and conditions of detention of convicts, humanization of execution of punishments and strengthening of civil control, guarantees of prevention of torture, digitalization of penitentiary system, development of manufacture, employment of convicts and their resocialization in a society, remote training of convicts in higher educational institutions and many other things.
Researchers and practitioners are invited to participate in the round table.
The working languages of the conference are Kazakh and Russian.
The materials of the round table will be published before the conference.
Conditions of participation: Please send your application for participation in the conference and article by e-mail by January 4, 2020.
Scientific articles of the participants will be published free of charge. Expenses related to the arrival at the conference are at the expense of the participants or the sending party.
Rules of materials design:
The text of the article should be no more than 6 pages and typed in Microsoft Word, font Times New Roman 14, line spacing – 1, format A 4, fields: left – 3 cm, top, right, bottom – 2 cm. The UDC index is placed in the upper left corner.
In the center – the name of the report in capital letters in bold. The initials and surname of the author are inserted through a space. In the next line – the name of the organization. The text starts in one line. Figures and tables are allowed in the text. References to sources are given in square brackets, the numbering of references is continuous in the text. The full bibliographic list is given at the end of the article.
The text is original and cannot be edited. The author is responsible for the accuracy and reliability of the text.
Submitted articles will be placed in the conference proceedings. A PDF version of the digest will be sent to the participant’s e-mail address indicated in the application.
