On March 10 in Karaganda started ÕVI Regional Sports Day among students for prizes of Akim of the Karaganda Region.
Students from eight Universities of the region participate in competitions. Competitions are held in 13 sports: ski racing (relay race), speed skating, winter Presidential combined events, mini-football, volleyball, basketball, Cossack sprint, table tennis, chess, togyzkumalak, checkers, athletics, asyk atu.
The participants of the Spartakiade are:

- Karaganda State Medical University.
- Karaganda State Technical University.
- State Industrial University of Temirtau.
- Central Kazakhstan Academy.
- Karaganda Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after B. Beisenov.
- Karaganda Economic University of Kazpotrebsoyuz.
- Karaganda State University named after E. Buketov.
The competition will continue until March 18. Winners and runners-up in team event will be awarded with cups, diplomas of appropriate degrees and valuable prizes.
