October 1 – Senior Citizens Day

Bolashaq Academy congratulates its senior colleagues on the International Day of Older People!
From the height of the lived years life is seen quite differently. Your wise advice tune the young generation to the right path, help them make the right decision. In your hearts we draw support and understanding, care and love. Thank you for that!

In December 1990, by the decision of the UN General Assembly the International Day of Older Persons was established, which is annually celebrated on October 1. This holiday has long since turned from an official date into a good tradition of care and attention to the older generation.

Since childhood we have been absorbing from you folk traditions and wisdom, the basics of culture and native speech. From grandmother’s fairy tales, from grandfather’s stories, our first love for our native land and its beautiful inhabitants is born.

It was you who built and multiplied the wealth of our country, it was your generation who had to defend it during the years of war and then restore the cities and villages destroyed by the war. You have worked diligently, brought up children and grandchildren, despite your age, you still lead an active life.

Your wisdom, knowledge, life and professional experience are invaluable. By passing on your knowledge to young people, you are still making a significant contribution to the development of our settlement.

We sincerely wish you good health, longevity, family coziness and warmth, happiness, good luck and prosperity!

Life goes on, adding age to everyone,
But it’s not about years at all.
This holiday is a wise and serious one,
But with a little sadness in the eyes.
Happy holiday to you, the elderly,
You have more joy than care.
Let them respect you, honor you and love you very much.
Let every year be successful!
Happiness to you, health, affection.
Grandsons, attention to themselves.
May they give happiness and patience.
Dear people are in your destiny.

Your wealth is your years,
That the whiskey spilled gray,
And the wrinkles have made you a little more beautiful,
Shrouded in warmth and kindness.
You, those who are older – more experienced, wiser,
And you know that life is every moment,
You need to appreciate, not crumple rather,
Day by day, like an old draft.
We sincerely congratulate you gently,
Let your fate be like a big magnet,
Attracts happiness, wings,
And keeps from diseases and misfortunes!

I ask to respect not for age.
And not for the gray elderly,
There will be a century our swift lives,
And we will catch up with them one day.
I ask to respect the era,
What the elderly had to endure:
In the poor mostly, but not bad,
There is something to remember, to submerge.
In the great time of battles.
And for the good cause of labor,
For the romance of their relationship.
And for the great faith always!
To roads, benches and squares,
For built cities.
Older people can become an example –
How skillfully lived the year!
Laughter was sincere, joy – open,
Sometimes the whole yard was called to visit.
We are the traditions of this forgotten.
We don’t remember, it seems to us – nonsense.
We do not know our neighbors,
We do not know who’s name is.
Young people, we live differently,
Our comfort and coziness are the most important for us.
But let us say today
Elderly dear old people
Just a kind word, dare.
Tribute them to the great years.
We have a lot to learn from them.
And it makes sense for youth to teach.
Only to strive for the good in life,
And people older than us – respect!
