October 10 this year, a sports tournament on armwrestling and kettlebell lifting, dedicated to the State of the Nation Address of the President of Kazakhstan: improving income and quality of life” was held among students of Bolashaq Academy living the dormitory.
The tournament was held with the support of the Rector of the Academy of Kuralbay Nesipbekovich Menlibayev. The tournament was organized by the Coordinator Akhmetova Botagoz Telmanovna. After the rector’s congratulatory speech, the students were given one bag of potatoes each.
The tournament on armwrestling and kettlebell lifting was attended by 48 people. Fans supported all participants with avalanche and applause. Student from the group Fm-18-3 Yakshibayev Yusuf raised 16 kg weight 60 times and became a bronze medalist of the tournament. And “weightlifter” from “Bolashak” college Riyanbek Zhenisbek set an unusual record, lifting the pudding weight 65 times. Last year’s champion, also a college student Rakhatzhan Yergali, having fulfilled the necessary standard of 70 lifts in 2 minutes, became the owner of the main trophy.
There was no lack of excitement in armwrestling. This year twice as many students entered the fight for the first place as last year. Makhanbet Yesenbol, the 2nd year student of the college of “Physical training” specialty, lost to the student of Dm-15-1 group Yesset Aitzhanov, thus he brought a bronze to the college. In his turn, Yesset lost to the most active participant of the tournament Yakshibaev Yusuf and was awarded a silver medal. Yusuf is not only an activist, but also a champion in armwrestling. We sincerely congratulate Yusuf on his victory and wish him further success and victories!
