Roundtable “Memory for the Future”

On May 26, 2020 the round table “Memory in the name of the future” devoted to Day of memory of victims of political reprisals and the famine, spent by Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan of the Karaganda area and Kogamdyk kelisim MPI of the apparatus of akim of the Karaganda area was held.

The moderator of round table was the member of Scientific and expert group of Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan of Karaganda region, the first vice-rector of Academy “Bolashaq”, Candidate of juridical sciences, professor Rysmagambetova G.M.

Discussion panels:

– “Rukhani Zhangyru”: historical memory for the benefit of creation;

– Historical memory as a consolidating basis of civic identity and unity;

– Promotion of Kazakhstan model of social harmony and national unity of N.A. Nazarbayev;

– Deportation to Kazakhstan: through trials to a common destiny;

– From memories of descendants of witnesses of political repression and hunger.

Representatives of ethno-cultural associations, members of scientific-expert group of APK Karaganda region, department of Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan, scientists and experts of high schools of the region, descendants of the repressed, young scientists took part in the event.

The speaker of the round table was a member of the Scientific-Expert Group of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan Karaganda region, senior lecturer of the Department of General Disciplines of the Academy “Bolashaq”

The participants discussed the significance of the project of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan “Memory for the Future”, dedicated to the development of historical consciousness, strengthening of civil identity, social harmony and national unity of the people of Kazakhstan through the prism of historical memory.
