Taking into account the complication of the epidemiological situation and the growing incidence of coronavirus infection in a number of regions of Kazakhstan, the IMC decided to introduce additional restrictive measures on weekends – 20-21 June.
Chief State Sanitary Doctor of Karaganda Region Kanat Askarov reported live on the strengthening of quarantine measures in the region.
On June 20 and 21 shopping and entertainment centers, shopping houses, parks, squares, water parks, beaches, food and non-food markets, bazaars and fitness halls will be closed.
Entrance to tourist zones will be closed. Those who are already there must observe a mask regime and social distance.
Children under 14 years of age are not allowed to leave the house unaccompanied by adults, people over 65 years of age are not advised to go out without an emergency.
“Restrictive measures have been strengthened in the region since 13 June. Now the number of those infected in the region is growing, with a weekly increase in morbidity – over 19%. Particular danger is posed by the infected, who do not follow the principles of isolation, – said Kanat Askarov. – The unwillingness of residents to understand the seriousness of the situation determines a careless attitude to health – to one’s own and others’. Violation of quarantine requirements, in turn, increases the risk of infection and spread. To date, violations have been identified in 124 sites that resumed their activities during quarantine.
“I call upon all to abide by these instructions. Remember that there are children, pregnant, elderly and chronically ill people next to you. They are at risk for COVID-19. Your health and lives of your loved ones are in your hands”, said Kanat Askarov.
The relaxation of quarantine measures in the area will depend on the statistics of coronavirus infection. In order to lift the restrictions, the daily increase in infections should not exceed 7% during the week.
