On September 16-17, 2020 in Nur-Sultan on the basis of L.N.Gumilyov Eurasian National University was held the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Distance Education: new challenges of global scale” in online format on Microsoft Teams platform.
The director of SIC “Rukhaniyat” took part in this conference. Aupenova A.U. and senior lecturer of the Department of Foreign Languages and Intercultural Communication Kalizhanova A.N. with a report on “Expansion of educational competencies of educational and extra-curricular activities through online learning management systems”. The report discussed the application of the Trello web platform, which allows to present a project visually or any process in an online format, track student performance, assign grades, including the development of an open online course, such as the United Nations model and develop the necessary competencies to participate in the game conference.
The presentation focuses on extra-curricular activities. In particular, with the help of the Moodle (Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment) web platform, the online quiz “Memory of Chernobyl” was held at the Bolashaq Academy. The participants of the online quiz were students of all educational programs of the “Bolashaq” Academy. Everyone could take part in the quiz at any time convenient for them.
The conference discussed the possibilities and prospects of using distance educational technologies (DET) in education and quality management, topical issues of open, online education and digital innovations.
This conference served as a dialogue platform for search and discussion of advanced ideas, prospects of implementation of actual tasks in the field of application of distance technologies, distribution of effective innovative experience at the international level.
The conference was aimed at identifying successful pedagogical practices in the implementation of the educational process using DOT; professional discussion and systematization of international experience in the use of DOT; and analysis of major trends and problems in modernization of education due to the impact of globalization processes.
