In October 2024, in Almaty, at the National Pedagogical University named after Abai, the Department of Kazakh Literature and Teaching Methods named after Academician S. Kirabaev, held an international online teleconference “USH BAYTEREK: TAGDYR MEN TAGYLYM”, dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the birth of Saken Seifullin, Ilyas Zhansugurov, Beimbet Mailin.
The teleconference was attended by scientists, teachers, undergraduates and students of universities in Kazakhstan, Russia, and Kyrgyzstan. The event was attended by senior lecturer of the Department of Kazakh Language and Literature of the Bolashaq Academy Zhanuzakhova K.K. and 4th year student Shari Kymbat. The writers Saken Seifulin, Ilyas Zhansugurov and Beimbet Mailin, who entered the history of Kazakh literature as “Ush bayterek” (three poplars), were born and died in the same years. They made a huge contribution to the development of Russian literature. Through their civic and social activities, they raised the national spirit of the people to a high level.
