On September 1, 2021, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev delivered his annual address to the people of Kazakhstan at the joint session of both houses of the Parliament. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s speech was broadcasted live on national TV channels and lasted more than an hour and a half.
Students and teachers watched and listened to the speech of the President of Kazakhstan with great attention.
In the Address the President announced the priority goals of social and economic development of the country for the coming period.
The message outlined the key issues of domestic policy, strengthening of interethnic harmony, economic modernization, urbanization and development of single-industry towns, digitalization. Also touched upon methods of increasing the minimum wage, encouraging businesses to increase salaries, the tasks and problems of education in general, distance learning and training of personnel by universities of the republic. In addition, the Head of State noted that this year a census of the population will be carried out, and announced the conditions for renewal of quarantine restrictions in the country with the beginning of the new school year.
