Young Philologist – 2021 – Академия "Bolashaq"

On March 12, 2021, Department of Education of Karaganda Region and department of Kazakh language and literature of Bolashaq academy held traditional regional competition “Young Philologist – 2021”, devoted to the 30th anniversary of independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan online on Skype platform.

On March 12, 2021, the Department of Kazakh language and literature of the Karaganda Regional Department of Education and the Academy “Bolashaq”held a traditional competition “Young philologist – 2021”, dedicated to the “30th anniversary of independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan” on the Skype platform online.

The purpose of the contest is to promote the art of speech among young people in order to promote the language and national interests in honor of the 30th anniversary of independence with new ideas and new approaches, to promote the art of speech, to become a patriot of the country, to promote the choice of profession.

Competition objectives:

motivation for choosing a future profession;
improving the ability to think creatively;
development of oral and written language competence;
strengthening ties between secondary education organizations and universities.

The competition was held in two stages.

The first stage is to write an essay on the topic dedicated to the 30th anniversary of independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Competition Commission got acquainted with the written works and selected the best ones based on the following criteria:

Requirements for writing an essay:

expression of the author’s personal influence and understanding of a particular problem;
creating a new idea and motivating the reader to think;
the general style reflects personality traits;
since the essay is limited to a certain amount of words, it is necessary to fit the thought into this volume.
The second stage is the skill of reading an artistic speech (monologue). The second stage was held on March 12, 2021 at 10.00 on the Skype platform.

Purpose of the second round:

In honor of the 30th anniversary of independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the period since independence (1991-2021.) reading a monologue (by heart) of an excerpt from works of art and journalistic works (the volume of the excerpt is not less than 300-350 words, the duration of time is 2-3 minutes)

The following requirements for the skill of reading an artistic speech (monologue) were taken into account::

taking into account sound compatibility and harmony;
presence of speech techniques and accents;
clarity of diction in expressive reading;

At the opening ceremony, the head of the Department of Kazakh language and literature, professor K. Z. Sembiyev expressed warm wishes to the participants and wished them success.

In total, 64 students from Karaganda and Karaganda region took part in the competition.

The works written by students at the first stage were checked by experts, and 16 students were transferred to the second round.

Among the students selected for the second round, 10 participants won the 1st Place – 1 student, 2nd Place – 2 students and 3rd place – 7 students.

The results of the subject Olympiad were announced by the head of the Department of Kazakh language and literature,professor K. Z. Sembiyev.
