Workshop on the use of AI in academic activities

Today, Bolashaq Academy hosted a seminar for faculty dedicated to the principles and rules of using artificial intelligence (AI) in educational and scientific processes. During the event, ethical aspects, practical application of AI tools, as well as recommendations for their responsible use in the academic environment were discussed.

The speakers of the seminar were:

Dana Salamatovna Asakayeva, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Vice–rector for Research and International Cooperation, presented the Kazakh ISSAI platform, talking about its capabilities in the educational environment. In addition, she demonstrated the practical use of ChatGPT and Gamma, modern tools that can improve the effectiveness of scientific research, the preparation of educational materials and the automation of a number of academic tasks.

Mayra Balievna Shashchanova, Candidate of Technical Sciences, presented a guide on the use of artificial intelligence in academic activities, developed by the working group of the League of Academic Integrity. Special attention was paid to the ethical use of AI, its impact on academic integrity, as well as practical recommendations for teachers and students.

Sagynysh Orazhanovich Smagulov, head of the Center for DOT and IT Support, spoke about the AI Studios platform, demonstrating how modern AI tools can be used for automated data analysis, creation of multimedia materials and support of the educational process.

The participants gained practical skills in working with AI tools and discussed the prospects for their integration into the educational process.
