On May 31, the “Bolashaq” Academy was visited by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to the Russian Federation, Ľubomír Rehák, and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, Robert Kirnág. The event took place on the Day of Remembrance for the Victims of Political Repressions and Famine.
The Rector of the Academy, G.M. Rysmagambetova, spoke about the university and its history, and introduced the guests to the project “Karlag: Memory for the Future.” An exhibition of books published within the framework of the project was also presented.
The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to the Russian Federation, Ľubomír Rehák, delivered a lecture on the topic “The Connection of History and Politics – Highlights of the History of Slovaks and Czechs in the East.” He elaborated on the history of the Slovak Republic during the First and Second World Wars, highlighting important historical events and their influence on the formation of modern Slovak society. His presentation was rich in historical facts, which sparked great interest among the audience.
The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, Robert Kirnág, spoke about the international relations between Kazakhstan and Slovakia. He emphasized the importance of bilateral cooperation in various fields, including economy, culture, and education. Robert Kirnág also highlighted the prospects for further development of relations between the countries and underscored their significance for our states.
The attendees took the opportunity to ask questions about grants, dual degree programs, tourist attractions in Slovakia, and other topics that interested them.
