The President signed a decree extending the state of emergency until May 1

The state of emergency in Kazakhstan was extended until May 1. The relevant presidential decree has been published on the Akorda website.

THE DECREE

On extension of the state of emergency in the Republic of Kazakhstan

April 14, 2020

In accordance with paragraph 3 of article 7 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On state of emergency” I DECIDE:

To extend the action of state of emergency on the whole territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, introduced by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan from March 15, 2020 No. 285 “About introduction of the state of emergency in the Republic of Kazakhstan”, till 07 hours 00 minutes on May 1, 2020.
The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan together with central and local state bodies shall take necessary measures arising from this Decree.
This Decree shall come into force on the date of its signing.
