On November 22, 2024, in the main building of the Academy in the Courtroom, as part of the implementation of the work plan of the Department of Legal and Financial Disciplines of the Bolashaq Academy for 2024-2025 and the cathedral research topic “Prospects for the development of the legal system of the Republic of Kazakhstan” and in accordance with the curriculum of the Criminology course, the PFD department held a round table on the topic “Prevention of domestic violence” among full-time students of the U-21-1 group.
The State family policy is part of the social policy of Kazakhstan. Its goals are to support, strengthen and protect families, create the necessary conditions conducive to the physical, intellectual, spiritual, and moral development of families and their members, and protect motherhood, fatherhood, and childhood.
The Institute of public monitoring of normative legal acts with the participation of NGOs has been introduced. In general, the measures taken have ensured an annual reduction in the level of domestic violence by an average of ten percent.
Marriage and family, motherhood, fatherhood and childhood are protected by the State in accordance with article 27 of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The family is a small state. One of the main values of our society is the family, motherhood and childhood.
The purpose of this event is aimed at improving the effectiveness of measures to prevent domestic violence, legal mechanisms for social assistance and assistance to victims of domestic violence, strengthening traditional and family values and spiritual and moral education of young people.
The main task is to provide participants with the opportunity to express their point of view on the discussed problem of prevention of domestic violence, and further formulate either a common opinion or clearly distinguish the different positions of the parties.

The event was held at a high scientific and theoretical level. All the student speakers prepared with great enthusiasm. Each topic was thoroughly discussed, problematic aspects were analyzed, and recommendations and suggestions were made to improve measures to prevent domestic violence.
In particular, an integrated approach is needed for effective prevention of domestic violence in Kazakhstan, including:
Raising public awareness of the problems of violence.
Improving the legal framework and its application.
Establishment of interagency cooperation.
Providing support to victims of violence and creating conditions for the rehabilitation of rapists.
Development of infrastructure (crisis centers, legal and psychological assistance).
