On May 28, 2024, the head of the Department of Kazakh Language and Literature at the “Bolashaq” Academy, Professor K.Z. Sembiev, participated in a republican seminar organized by the Language Development Department of the Karaganda Region at the initiative of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The seminar was attended by the Vice Minister of Culture and Information, Erbol Alikulov; Deputy Akim of the Karaganda Region, Erlan Kusain; heads of departments and divisions from the administrations of Nur-Sultan, Akmola, Mangystau, Pavlodar, North Kazakhstan, and Ulytau regions; deputy akims, heads of departments, and specialists from various departments; linguists, scholars, and members of the regional onomastic commission.
Professor Sembiev K.Z. participated in addressing pressing issues related to the organization of the names of settlements and the replacement of modern names with historical ones, as well as the restoration of altered and incorrectly written geographical names in the field of onomastics during the seminar.
