On October 4, 2024, Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Disciplines Pakhomova D.K. and Associate Professor Sivolobova O.A. took part in a round table held by the pharmaceutical company “@Santo Member of Polpharma Group” on the topic: “Acute respiratory infections”.
The audience was presented with a report by the allergist-immunologist Begimova Svetlana Dyusenovna.
In her speech, she stressed that in the autumn-winter period there is a serious danger of SARS, and it should be borne in mind that this is not one specific disease, but a whole group of diseases with different pathogen viruses, but similar symptoms and course. The danger of SARS is their high contagiousness and the possibility of serious complications.
To help the body cope with the virus, various antiviral agents are used, one of which is the domestic drug Ibuvir, produced by JSC Himpharm. Ibuvir is a direct–acting antiviral drug that exhibits an immunostimulating effect.
It is available in 2 dosage forms: tablets for adults and syrup for children, which allows patients to choose the most convenient method of use for it.
In conclusion, the lecturer answered the questions of the audience and analyzed specific examples of clinical cases from her practice.
