Today, hundreds of foresters will plant 90 thousand pine seedlings in a burnt forest in the Kirzavod area. This massive forest restoration is carried out as part of the Taza Kazakhstan campaign. The landing was timed to coincide with the 90th anniversary of the city of Karaganda.
In addition, activists and concerned citizens plant trees in public gardens, parks and courtyards. In Karaganda, activists opened a new alley “Zhastar Alleyasy” in Maykuduk Park. 500 seedlings were planted here.
The secretary of the city maslikhat, Altyntore Bukenov, also took part in the action and called on residents to be more active in landscaping and cleaning up urban areas. Planting trees is not only caring for the environment, but also an opportunity to leave a mark on the earth, a memory of oneself, he noted.
As part of compensatory planting, a total of 3 thousand seedlings will be planted in Karaganda.
They continue to plant trees in Temirtau. Temirtau residents planted trees in one of the parks. Employees of the city parks and public gardens department will take care of the new seedlings.
Representatives of the public environmental movement “Reflection”, social activists and active residents took part in the environmental action.
“Today the guys and I made our contribution to the ecology of Temirtau. We have been greening the city for four years now. We distribute seedlings to residents who take responsibility for caring for the trees. Based on the results of three years, we see that the survival rate of plantings was 90%. This means that our residents are responsible for caring for trees,” says the head of environmental activists, Elena Varganova.
In total, they plan to plant more than 5 thousand trees in Temirtau; today 670 have been planted. Young poplars have also appeared on Pobedy Avenue in Abay. The city was replenished with 150 new trees. Residents actively participated in the planting.
200 acacia, poplar and elm seedlings were planted in Karkaralinsk. The large-scale environmental campaign “Taza Kazakhstan” continues in the Karaganda region. It will last until May 13. Each week goes by a specific title. This one is called “Zhasyl aimak” and is dedicated to tree planting and landscaping. New trees will continue to be planted in cities and districts of the region.
