Interethnic harmony among students is the key to a peaceful future!

On 02/27/2025, an open discussion was held on the topic “Prevention of interethnic conflicts among students – prevention of religious extremism”, organized by senior advisor M.K. Abdresheva and senior lecturer at the Department of Foreign Languages and Intercultural Communication A.Y. Alzhanova. The event was attended by 2nd and 3rd year students of groups IN-24-1,2, IN-23-1,2.

The main purpose of the meeting is to raise students’ awareness of the importance of interethnic harmony, to form a tolerant attitude towards representatives of different nationalities and religious denominations, as well as to prevent manifestations of extremism among young people. During the discussion, issues of harmonization of interethnic relations, the role of education in shaping a culture of dialogue, as well as the prevention of radical views among young people were touched upon. Students actively expressed their opinions, shared examples of positive interethnic interaction, and considered possible conflict prevention strategies.

Such meetings play an important role in shaping the values of peaceful coexistence, mutual understanding and respect for a multinational society among young people. This helps to create a comfortable and safe educational environment where every student feels protected and respected.
