On November 25, 2019 at Miras University in Shymkent, there was held a meeting-orientation of American English MOOCs Facilitator’s Training program participants with the support of the U.S. Embassy and Regional Office of English in Central Asia (RELO). Anna Kalizhanova, Director of the Center for Advanced Training, became one of the program participants.
The goal of the program is to develop and use materials for mass open online courses to improve the level of English in such areas as STEM and Digital Literacy for future and existing English teachers.
These materials fully comply with the didactic principles of working with texts, which will certainly be useful for future teachers and all those who are going to take the IELTS international exam.
The materials are provided absolutely free of charge, and at the end of the program the participants receive a certificate from the Association of English Teachers in Kazakhstan and RELO. The only condition is participation in discussions-sessions conducted by the programme facilitators.
FL&IC Department invites all interested parties: students, school teachers and lecturers to participate in the U.S. Embassy’s program.
