On March 30, 2024, teachers of the Department of Pharmaceutical Disciplines took part in the multidisciplinary event “Academy of Comorbidity Ramadan”. The seminar was organized by the pharmaceutical company AstroZeneca U-K Limited. The format of the event is hybrid in Almaty and 5 regional centers of Kazakhstan.
During the event, a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic approaches were discussed for endocrinological, cardiological, nephrological and therapeutic patients. The first report was devoted to chronic heart failure and modern treatment options. The report was presented by Blankova Z.N., cardiologist. Candidate of Medical Sciences, researcher at the OALDT FSBI “NMIC of Cardiology named after E.I. Chazov” of the Ministry of Health of Russia, Moscow.
The report of Bobkova I.N., MD, Department of Internal Diseases and Rheumatology, Sechenov University, St. Petersburg, Russia, was devoted to the diagnosis and treatment of chronic kidney disease.
A number of other reports were presented, which caused a heated discussion. The issues of early diagnosis are very acute and require the creation of new clinical protocols, since the existing ones are mainly devoted to the late stages of diseases.
At the end of the event, the speakers were asked a lot of questions regarding the diagnosis and treatment of comorbid patients.
The multidisciplinary event presented to the participants is undoubtedly an important event for the Kazakhstani medical and pharmaceutical community.
