The Department of Pedagogy was reorganized in August 2022 by merging the departments of Pedagogy and Methods of Primary Education and Preschool Education.
As part of the implementation of the Mission of the Bolashaq Academy, the Mission of the department is designated – the training of highly qualified specialists with the necessary level of professional and personal competencies in the field of education, tuned to innovation, able to compete in the conditions of modernization of education.
The department is a graduate and conducts bachelor’s degree training in the educational program 6B01101 “Pedagogy and Psychology” (PiP), 6B01201 “Preschool education and upbringing” (DOV) and 6B01301 – “Pedagogy and methodology of primary education” (PMNO) in the state and Russian languages on full-time and full-time with the use of DOT. In 2016, the training of personnel under the educational program 7M01101 – “Pedagogy and Psychology” (Master’s degree) was started.
Training in these educational programs is carried out on the basis of the state license for conducting educational activities No. KZ 62LAA00016157 dated May 23, 2019. Professional educational programs are implemented in full-time (4 years) and full–time-abbreviated (2 years and 3 years) training in two languages – state and Russian.
Graduates of the department can work in various types and types of preschool organizations, mini-centers, general secondary schools, pedagogical colleges, education departments, institutes of advanced training and retraining of personnel of the education system, in organizations of technical and vocational education, perform organizational and technological, production and management, design, research activities.
Over the past 10 years of its existence, the department has graduated about 3,000 specialists who successfully work at the Karaganda College of Current Education “Bolashaq”, Karaganda Banking College named after. Bukenova Zh.K., Shakhty Technological College (Shakhtinsk, Karaganda region), in the Department of Education of the Karaganda region, in the Department of Education of Shakhtinsk, Karaganda region, in preschool organizations in the positions of heads, methodologists, educators, psychologists, etc.
The head of the department is Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences Asakaeva Dana Salamatovna. The educational process is carried out by 25 full-time teachers, including: 12 candidates of sciences, 13 masters. The number of teachers with academic degrees and titles is 47%. For many years, practical teachers working in educational organizations of the Karaganda region (kindergartens, schools, colleges) have been involved in teaching. In the 2022-2023 academic year, the number of invited teachers was 14 people.
The infrastructure of the department includes 4 specialized classrooms equipped with computers, printers, interactive whiteboards, teaching aids, upholstered and office furniture, stands.
Great importance is attached to the introduction of new forms and methods of teaching, as well as means of activating the cognitive activity of students (business game, round table, training, project forms of education, etc.).
The department has branches in preschool organizations – “Aigolek”, “Tilek”, “Altyn Saka”, in the organizations of the type – Karaganda Technical and Construction College, Karaganda Higher College “Bolashaq”, on the basis of which practical classes on private teaching and upbringing methods are conducted, students undergo professional practice.
The result of cooperation between the university and employers was the opening in 2021 of a branch of the department in OSH No. 23 in Karaganda, where elements of dual forms of education have been introduced since September 2022. Students on the basis of the school are trained to conduct pedagogical activities by leading primary school teachers.
The number of contacts with leading foreign scientists, universities, research centers and organizations (Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University, Altai State Pedagogical Academy, Chelyabinsk State University, Irkutsk State University, Siberian University of Consumer Cooperation, etc.) is growing in the form of bilateral participation in international scientific conferences and academic mobility of teachers.
Within the framework of academic mobility, students study at higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan: North Kazakhstan State University named after M. Kozybayev, Kokshetau University named after Abai Myrzakhmetov, Pavlodar State Pedagogical Institute.
Students of the OP PiP, DOV and PMNO are represented in all self-governing bodies of the CHU “Academy “Bolashaq”: the Student Republic “Bolashak”, the Student Council of the dormitory, the Council of Young Scientists. Instagram Facebook, the official website of the Academy, Contact, Instagram, Facebook, and the magazine “Lemonade” provide information about the activities of student self-government. Students participate in interest clubs – Humane Pedagogy Club, Personality Plus Club, Poetry Club, Meirim Volunteer Club, Debate Club, Rukhaniyat Circle, Zhas-tilshi Circle, Adilet Circle, etc.
Educational programs constantly participate in the ratings and occupy leading places among universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Thus, in 2021, according to the rating of educational programs of the Independent Kazakhstan Agency for Quality Assurance of Education (NCAOKO), the educational program “Preschool education and upbringing” took 6th place among universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in the rating of NCE “Atameken” in 2021, the educational program “Pedagogy and Psychology” took 4th place among 32 universities of Kazakhstan. The priority directions of the department in improving the organization of the educational process are: the development of the information educational environment, the introduction of modern educational technologies into the educational process, the use of advanced pedagogical experience, work to preserve the contingent.
