Over the past 10 years, the incidence of obesity has increased by an average of 75% everywhere, and obese people are projected to increase in all regions of the world. It is estimated that 40% of men and 50% of women will be obese by 2030. With obesity, a metabolic syndrome develops, which is characterized by the presence in one patient of tissue insulin resistance, hyperinsulinemia, impaired glucose tolerance, primary arterial hypertension, impaired lipid metabolism, as well as abdominal obesity and elevated uric acid levels in the blood serum. Against this background, diabetes mellitus and gout develop. The liver also suffers. As a rule, an ultrasound scan of an obese person reveals fatty hepatosis, this is called steatous liver disease and currently affects 30% of the population. The increase in obesity worldwide is associated with low physical activity, eating foods high in fat and carbohydrates. Therefore, a number of reports were devoted to the metabolic syndrome in the practice of internists, cardiologists and endocrinologists.

There were lectures on chronic gastritis and functional dyspepsia.
In the report on acute pneumonia, special attention was paid to the expediency of prescribing antibiotics in tablets during home treatment. Antibiotics in injections are indicated only in the hospital. Unjustified use of 3rd generation antibiotics has led to increased insensitivity to these drugs .
The cardiology section presented reports on modern treatment of arterial hypertension, early detection and treatment of chronic heart failure.

In conclusion, the congress participants received certificates.
