On October 3-4, 2024, the VIII Meeting of the Registrar’s Offices was held at Nazarbayev University in Astana.
The VIII Meeting of the Registrar’s Offices in 2024 is a unique communication platform for discussing topical issues and sharing experiences with like-minded people both at the national and international levels.
This event helped bring together colleagues from all academic departments of universities, including the Registrar’s Office, the Academic Advising Department and the IT Department for educational process support.
The VIII Meeting of the Registrar’s Offices in 2024 with the Bolashaq Academy was attended by the head of the DSP Omirzakova A.O., the head of the DOT and IT Support Center Ismagulov S.O., the specialist of the OPO Aldabaeva A.Zh., the registrar Rgebaeva B.A., the registrar Ibysh A.M.
During the meeting of the Registrar’s Offices, 2 panel and 18 parallel sessions were held, which covered a wide range of issues related to academic support, automation of processes, verification of applicants’ applications, student career development, quality management of education, monitoring of state grants, student health insurance and integration of information systems of higher education. Participants shared problems and suggestions, seeking to find joint solutions to improve processes. It is important to note that special attention was paid to the flexibility of system management and digitalization, which help optimize the work of the registrar’s Offices.
The event was attended by representatives of the delegation from Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, 282 representatives from 84 organizations of higher and postgraduate education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The speakers were employees of the Department of Digitalization and Public Services under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan (EHEA), the Medical Insurance Fund, JSC Financial Center, the Department of Organizational and Mobilization Work of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan and universities of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan.
The VIIII meeting of the Registrar’s Offices once again showed the importance and necessity of the existence of a platform for discussing topical issues and exchanging experience between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Financial Center, the Medical Insurance Fund, universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan and foreign universities.
At the closing ceremony, Saltanat Beisembina, Registrar and Director General for Student Academic Performance at Nazarbayev University, stressed the importance of creating a platform and a tradition of meetings of Registrar’s Offices, which continue to play a key role in improving the quality of academic services at universities in Kazakhstan. Certificates were also awarded to all participants of the VIIII meeting of the Registrar’s Offices.
