The value of a family

09/06/2024 Master’s degree, senior curator of the Department of Pharmaceutical Disciplines Temireeva N. B. held an open curatorial hour with the students of the group dedicated to the celebration of Family Day. The theme of the event is “Family planning”. The open curatorial hour was attended by the head of the department, D. K. Pakhomova, associate professor O. A. Sivolobova, senior lecturer K. S. Temireeva and students.

The head of the department, D. K. Pakhomova, noted: “Reproductive health is not only the absence of diseases of organs and functions of the human body that produce offspring, but also a healthy physical and mental state of a person as a whole.”

Senior lecturer K. S. Temireeva stressed that the early onset of sexual relations, the increase in the number of sexually transmitted infections, as well as addiction to tobacco and alcohol as factors negatively affecting the reproductive health of adolescents, prevent our society from giving birth to healthy offspring tomorrow.

Senior curator Temireeva N.B. made an introductory speech about family planning: “Family planning is a concept that is actively integrated into our lives. For many years, family planning has expressed the idea of birth control. However, family planning is about preserving male and female health in order to give birth to the healthy child you’ve been waiting for. In other words, family planning is a planned, not a random implementation of a child,” she said.

At the end of the event, there was a discussion among the students. A student of the Fm-20-2 group, Kurmaniyaz Janel, as a future pharmacist, expressed her opinion about contraceptives: “Combined oral contraceptives (COCs) are an effective, reversible method of contraception. Women can use these drugs at any age.

She stressed that injectable contraceptives are a long-term, reversible and safe remedy, and that condoms protect against sexually transmitted infections, including HIV/AIDS, and pregnancy.

Summing up the curatorial hour, it was noted that young people need to be literate in the fight against sexually transmitted infections and HIV infection, as well as to properly lead a “healthy lifestyle”.
