Abdizhamil Nurpeisov, a prominent representative of Kazakh literature, a writer who worked a lot in the genres of short stories and novellas, turns 100 this year. The literary evening “Adebiet aleminin abyzy” dedicated to the 100th anniversary of A. Nurpeisov was held in the Karaganda Regional Universal Scientific Library named after N. V. Gogol.The event was attended by Professor of the Bolashaq Academy, Doctor of Philology M. H. Khamzin.
In his speech, M. Khamzin stressed that the trilogy “Blood and Sweat” and other works by Abdizhamil Nurpeisov, one of the artists who made a great contribution to the Kazakh literature of the last XX century, were translated into about thirty foreign languages.
