On November 14-16, 2024, the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Oncorenessance-2024″ was held in Almaty. Autumn session”.
The organizers of the event, which brought together oncologists, scientists, chemotherapists, surgeons, radiologists and young specialists from all over the country on one dialogue platform, are the Association of Oncologists of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the School of Medical Oncologists of the Kazakh Research Institute of Oncology and Radiology.
The program included topical topics of cancer care:
For the first time in the framework of the sessions of the conference “Oncorenessance – 2024.Autumn session” a competition of young scientists of the Republic of Kazakhstan engaged in research in the field of oncology and radiology was held.
Topics that were discussed at the conference:
– prevention and early diagnosis of oncological diseases;
– questions on the treatment of HPV-associated oncological diseases;
– radiation and visual diagnostics;
– high-tech methods of radiation therapy – nuclear medicine and theranostics;
– personalized drug therapy (targeted therapy);
– pathomorphology and molecular genetics;
– modern treatment achievements in the field of bone and soft tissue sarcomas, head and neck tumors, gynecological cancer, tumors of the gastrointestinal tract, hepatobiliary zone;
– scientific discoveries in the development and evolution of malignant neoplasms;
– management of antitumor drug therapy.
In addition, modern medical technologies used in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, principles of management in chemotherapy and scientific discoveries in the development and evolution of malignant neoplasms were presented.
