In the days of January 2021 reigned invisible to the ordinary world on the vast Internet revival – was held the next, traditional regional contest “Future teacher of the new formation-2021”, conducted by the Department of Pre-school and primary education, Academy “Bolashaq” together with the Regional Department of Education online. This was the most significant difference from last year’s similar competitions, which significantly increased the number of participants and expanded the geography.
If in 2020, in the conditions of an impending pandemic, snow drifts and unceasing snowstorms, only a few teams managed to get to the cozy assembly hall of the Academy, worrying about the way back, and the farthest point from which young future teachers broke through to Karaganda was the village of Atasu, then this year no harsh winter cold and other vagaries of the weather could prevent it. The only thing that could have prevented it was a sudden absence of…the Internet! And since the contest was held for a few days, it could not be a hindrance.
As a result, 34 schoolchildren (17 participants with the state language of education and 17 – with the Russian language of education) from dozens of schools of Karaganda, Shakhtinsk, Atasu, Temirtau, Zhezkazgan took an active part in the contest.
The activity of the schoolchildren is understandable for several reasons. Firstly, it is revival interest to such necessary, interesting and always demanded profession – the teacher! Second, conquered for many years of work on education and training of teachers, the popularity and deserved authority of the Academy “Bolashaq” itself and its qualified staff. Thirdly, strange as it may sound, but it became a reality – the availability of Internet space, when literally without leaving home, you can become a member of the most interesting project – the contest “Future Educator of New Formation. Fourthly, we would like to mention the most stimulating, material and important factor: the 1st place winner gets a grant for 100% free first-year education; the 2nd place winner gets a 50% discount on first-year tuition fees; the 3rd place winner gets a 25% discount on first-year tuition fees. We should also take into account that in addition to the division of participants by language of performance, the second step of the “podium” could be taken by two participants, and the third by three! Fifthly, we should not forget another important role of the contest – the opportunity to communicate, share experiences on the platform of the Academy, and just make friends for many years of life!
The contest itself consisted of two tasks. The first one was a competition in writing essays on a given topic.
The second one was a presentation on the most topical topic in modern life: “Cyber-pedagogy in the context of digitalization of education. In all essays and presentations the jury noted the genuine interest of students in their future profession and their high creative potential. Nevertheless, there were both winners and prize-winners of the competition, there were also those participants who were just a little bit short to win.
On February 3, 2021, summarizing the results of the competition was held at Zoom, where welcoming speeches were made by Kh. K. Urazbaev, vice-rector for scientific work of the Academy and N. I. Khrapchenkova, head of DNO department. They noted that the Academy “Bolashaq” realizes a large number of activities for schoolchildren. A special place among them takes the annual regional contest “Future teacher of a new formation” – a competition that has become widely known not only in our region but also beyond. People know about the contest, they participate in it, and each year the contest becomes more and more popular among schoolchildren and teachers! The contest allows each participant to show their potential, increases the prestige of the teaching profession, and identifies the brightest talents among school students.
And finally, the long-awaited and exciting announcement of the results of the competition took place where each of the participants was not left without awards. It should be noted that the winners of the contest unanimously recognized Amangeldi Akbota from school of O. Zhumabekov of Zhanarka district (with the Kazakh language of instruction) and Valeria Kolmagorova, KSU “KSDS № 33” of Karaganda (with the Russian language of instruction).
