On the eve of the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on December 13, senior lecturer of the Department of Pharmaceutical Disciplines Temireyeva Kumiszhan Slyamgazinovna held an open curatorial hour in the FM 23-2 group. The head of the department Pakhomova D.K., teachers and students took part in the curatorial hour.
During the event, students were provided with meaningful information about the history of independence and its importance. A student of the FM23-2 group, Ikramova Gulbanu, prepared a presentation on how the Republic of Kazakhstan achieved independence and the victims of the December events. Specially prepared videos covered historical events and the works of great figures in gaining independence.
The main goal was to cultivate a sense of patriotism and citizenship, knowledge of state symbols, develop students’ cognitive interest in history, pride in the historical past, present and bright future of the peoples of Kazakhstan.
Summing up the results of the curatorial open hour, candidate of medical sciences, associate professor Blyalov S.A., addressing the youth, said: “The future of Kazakhstan is in the hands of the youth. The knowledge that you receive must be competitive, at a high level. The youth of our independent state must have a high spirit, a broad outlook on knowledge, a high level of education and culture.”
In conclusion of the open curatorial session, the curator of the group Temireeva K.S. noted that without history there is no future, and the December events marked the beginning of the formation of Kazakhstan as an independent sovereign state, and for this we will be eternally grateful to the people who gave their lives in the name of freedom and prosperity of their native land.
