Centre for Humane Pedagogy continues its work

For many years the Academy “Bolashaq” cooperates with “Gymnasium No. 1” Karaganda. On 25.09.19 “Open Doors Day” was held in the gymnasium. On this day for parents the member of the Club of Humane Pedagogy of our university, primary school teacher Rent Ekaterina held an open parent meeting in the form of a master class on the theme “Words – gifts”. Professor Tatyana Smolkina, Vice-Rector for Research and International Cooperation, and Sabira Shutenova, Director of the Center for Humane Pedagogy and M.Sc., were invited to the master class.
Kateryna was able to convey the basic principles of humane pedagogy to her parents in an entertaining way. The aim of the parents’ meeting was to invite parents to apply a humane approach to children in the family, to cooperation.
The leitmotif of the master class: to understand the principles of humane pedagogy.

At first, parents were asked to place a comma in the phrase “Love cannot be raised”, it was suggested to reflect on concepts whose meaning is “erased” in everyday life.
Then parents drew or wrote down associations related to the word “Happiness” on paper stickers. After all, one of the principles of humane pedagogy includes the idea that parents are “guides” of children, because children came to Earth with their special mission and program, children are infinitely talented and not an extension of parents. Every child has its own mission. The task of parents is to help their child, to support him or her, but by no means to impose their ideas about life. Therefore, those present were given the homework: to draw “Happiness” with the child. To be surprised at what the child had drawn. Parents had to draw their son or daughter and say that he was the happiest event in family life.

The second word is “Joy.” We don’t usually think about how fast life is. We measure it over the years. And let’s calculate what day we live in the world? And we will rejoice every day, give joy to our loved ones. The homework is to choose one day, to live it without annoyance, no matter what happens. To find a peaceful way out of any situation.
The third word is “love”. When parents considered this concept, they thought about what “unconditional love” means. To love in spite of everything, to love as a child is, not to “mold” a child according to his ideas and ideals, to give him the right to make a mistake.

And where would you put the comma?
At the end of the parents’ meeting, the words of gratitude from the parents and representatives of the Academy “Bolashaq” Tatiana Petrovna and Sabira Sartaevna sounded. On behalf of the leadership of the Academy “Bolashaq” copies of the newspaper “LiMoNaD”, A. Kusainov’s book “The Crisis of the Education System”, notebooks and pens with the university logo were presented to the administration of Gymnasium № 1 and the teacher.
