On January 16, 2025, a training seminar on “Coaching in Education” was held at Bolashaq Academy. It was conducted by Dana Salamatovna Asakayeva, PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Pedagogy and IPS certified coach.
During the event, the participants, including the teachers of the Academy, were able to get acquainted with the basics of coaching and its practical application in the educational field. Dana Salamatovna shared her professional experience, highlighting key approaches and methods that help students develop critical thinking, emotional intelligence and personal responsibility skills.
Special attention at the seminar was paid to Bloom’s Taxonomy, which Dana Salamatovna analyzed in detail through the prism of coaching. She showed how coaching techniques can be used to effectively apply Taxonomy levels to set educational goals, evaluate achievements, and develop students’ analytical and creative abilities.
In addition, Dana Salamatovna spoke about her experience of implementing coaching in her own classes. Using this approach, she helps students develop independence, form conscious goals and find their own ways to solve learning problems, which makes the learning process more effective and motivating.
The main topics of the seminar included:
Principles of coaching and their adaptation to the educational environment.
Techniques for setting goals and motivating students.
Effective communication strategies for educators.
Coaching technologies that were discussed during the seminar: SMART for homework, scaling in self-assessment, open and advancing questions.
Dana Salamatovna Asakayeva emphasized the importance of introducing coaching into the education system to improve the quality of education and develop the personality of each student.
