One of the important steps of a student on the way to becoming a specialist in the field of pharmacy is to gain practical experience. As Confucius said, “Tell me and I’ll forget, show me and I’ll remember, let me do it and I’ll understand.” We understand that practice is an important link for consolidating theoretical knowledge. A curriculum has been created for students of specialty 6B10101 “Pharmacy”, which includes both theoretical and practical training. Starting from the 3rd year, students gain work experience in the pharmaceutical field in both food and industrial enterprises.

In Kazakhstan, there is a research and production center “Phytochemistry”, which develops domestic medicines. This center synthesizes and extracts substances of plant origin to combat socially significant diseases. Before manufacturing the drug, the biological efficacy is evaluated and checked for the presence of secondary substances of plant origin, such as alkaloids, flavonoids, terpenoids, sesquiterpene lactones and others. Manufacturing and testing of medicines is a laborious process that requires time, compliance with all regulations and work in an aseptic zone.
