On November 20, 2024, the Bolashaq Academy hosted the regional stage of the Republican Olympiad in Linguistics for students of grades 8-11 of specialized schools in the Karaganda region. The event was attended by 61 students from different schools in the region. The Olympiad has become a significant event aimed at developing interest in learning languages, identifying talented students and supporting their further development in the field of linguistics.
The program of the event was rich and included several stages. Since the morning, students and their teachers have been registering on the 3rd floor of the Academy.
During the opening ceremony, Akhmetova B.T. and Akhmetova A.K. performed. They told in detail about the history of the Academy, answered the questions of the Olympiad participants, demonstrated and commented on videos related to the social and cultural spheres of the Academy’s life, and talked about educational programs.
Following them, representatives of the KDM student government activists – Hartman Zinaida, Orazkenov Amirkhan and Salikova Madina, conducted a tour of the Academy, distributed information booklets and magazines “Lemonade”, immersed the guests in student life
After the performance of the asset, the participants began to perform Olympiad tasks, which were held in auditorium No. 316 under the guidance of methodologists of the KGB AGPF “Saryarka Daryny” and a jury consisting of its chairman, Doctor of Philology, Professor M.I. Abduov, and its members: Ph.D., Professor K.Z. Sembiev, art. teacher, master Aitzhan D.K. and head of the department of the OOD – Grigorchuk I.Yu.
At the very time when the students were taking part in the Olympiad, there was a training seminar for teachers “Coaching technologies in working with students”, it was conducted by PhD, associate professor – Asakaeva D.S.
At the training seminar, teachers of schools in the Karaganda region studied modern approaches to the use of coaching in the educational environment. The training seminar program included an overview of the key values of coaching, three basic principles in coaching, such as independent development, responsibility and motivation.
In the practical part, the participants mastered effective coaching tools: goal setting techniques (GROW), scaling, open questions, reflection and feedback. Special attention was paid to the use of these methods in working with students to change the focus of attention from a problem to its solution.
The participants noted that the acquired knowledge contributes to improving interaction, increases their enthusiasm for the educational process and supports the development of such important functions as self-organization and goal setting.
After that, advanced training courses were organized, which were conducted by B.T. Akhmetova on the course “Financial literacy”. The courses included modern teaching methods, the use of multimedia materials, as well as practical guidance on the organization of educational events. This gave the participants the opportunity to learn new approaches in educational activities and share their experiences. At the end of the training, all participants were given personal certificates for the advanced training course.
The final results of the Olympiad will be published on the website and pages of the Saryarka Daryny Central Educational Institution and on the official Instagram page.
Bolashaq Academy has reaffirmed its role as a center for educational initiatives and professional growth for schoolchildren and teachers in the region. The participants received not only valuable experience, but also inspiration for further achievements in their studies and practical teaching activities.
