In summer, German historian Christina Ezrahi visited the Bolashaq Academy.
She is a historian and member of the Royal Historical Society in London. Christina writes a book about the famous Soviet ballerina Anisimova Nina Alexandrov, who was in Karlag from October 1938 to May 1939.
After working in the archives of St. Petersburg, the scientist completed the collection of factual material in Karaganda. She visited the Karaganda Museum of Regional History and the museum in the village of Dolinka. Then she met with the head of the project “Karlag: Memory for the Future” and worked in the library of the academy “Bolashaq” with publications of the project.
The academy’s management provided assistance in processing requests to the archive, and books published within the project were presented to a German scientist.
The book about Anisimova will be published in 2021 in England by the Eliott and Thompson publishing house.
