FORUM OF STRATEGIC PARTNERS OF THE MINISTRY OF SCIENCE AND HIGHER EDUCATION

The main topic of the forum was “Education and science of the future”. The event was moderated by the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek. The forum and panel discussions discussed topical issues of the development of higher education, as well as challenges and prospects in this area. The Forum has become an important platform for sharing experiences and holding an international discussion on the future of science and education with the participation of leading experts.

Astana hosted a forum of strategic partners of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan within the framework of the international conference “CONNECTED-2024”. The event was attended by more than 300 representatives of higher educational institutions, national and foreign partners, representatives of international organizations.

Minister Sayasat Nurbek stressed that the partnership opens up great opportunities for the development of the education system in Kazakhstan. He noted that Kazakhstan, being at the center of the rapidly growing population of Central Asia and Eurasia, strives to become an educational hub for students who are looking for alternative higher education opportunities.

The head of the department also spoke about the model of digital universities developed in partnership with leading universities in the world. Over the past two years, a significant expansion of cooperation has been achieved, which has made it possible to adapt educational programs to modern requirements and international standards.

The rector of the Bolashaq Academy took part in the forum Rysmagambetova G.M.

Within the framework of the forum, foreign partners of the ministry, including representatives of universities, presented their institutions and told about the reasons for opening their branches in Kazakhstan, as well as about opportunities for joint development.

Eric Dimla, head of the campus and Academic Director of De Montfort University Kazakhstan, noted that the university with more than 150 years of history has been cooperating with Kazakhstan for four years. He stressed the importance of establishing a British university in the country, which provides local students with the opportunity to receive high-quality education in business, finance and law.

The Forum participants discussed the following issues:

Transnational education as a modern global trend;
Government agendas for the development and adoption of competitive strategies for higher education;
The strategic Partnership model in Kazakhstan: basic models/approaches and further development.
The participants discussed the importance of transnational education as a modern global trend, the creation of competitive strategies in higher education and a model of strategic partnership in Kazakhstan.

To ensure constant discussion of topical issues of education and legal regulation, the participants proposed the creation of an International Council that would act as a platform for the development and implementation of recommendations.
