On April 24, 2025, the Department of Foreign Languages and Intercultural Communication hosted a curatorial hour on the topic “We are against terrorism”, conducted by senior lecturer Alzhanova A.Y. for students of groups IN-23-1 and IN-23-2.
The main purpose of the event was to form a tolerant worldview among students, rejection of extremism and terrorism, as well as the development of civic responsibility.
During the curatorial hour, the causes and consequences of terrorism, its impact on society and international security were discussed. Examples of terrorist acts in the world were given, and mechanisms for recruiting young people to radical organizations were analyzed. Special attention was paid to the issues of media security and the ability to critically perceive information.
The students showed great activity, asked questions, shared their opinions, and expressed solidarity with the idea of peace and security.
The curatorial hour contributed to the education of patriotic feelings among students and an understanding of the importance of the fight against terrorism at all levels.
