On May 2, 2025, teachers of the Department of Pedagogy Shutenova S.S. and Tazhinin A.M. held a curatorial hour with first-year students of the educational programs “Pedagogy and methods of primary education” and “Pedagogy and Psychology” on the topic: “Ludomania is a disease of modern society”

The purpose of the curatorial hour is to form students’ understanding of ludomania (gambling addiction) as a serious psychological and social problem, the development of critical thinking skills and a responsible attitude towards one’s behavior.
During the curatorial hour, a conversation was held with students about what “Ludomania” is, about its negative consequences for human life, including financial problems, constant stress, anxiety, feelings of guilt and shame, deterioration of relationships with loved ones: lies, conflicts, distrust, possible loss of work due to absenteeism or weight loss. working capacity , etc .


The prevention and treatment of ludomania were also discussed with the students, which include: raising awareness of the risks of gambling; support from loved ones; professional assistance (psychotherapy, support groups). Recommendations on preventing the occurrence of gambling addiction in children were discussed, where each student expressed his opinion from different positions: primary school teachers, educational psychologists, parents
