Conducting a curatorial hour on the “Hour of Honesty”

In order to form students’ stable moral guidelines, an anti-corruption worldview and increase the level of civic responsibility in the IN group-24-1-2 A curatorial hour was held on the theme “The Hour of Honesty”. The event was organized by the curator of the group, senior lecturer of the Department of “Foreign Languages and Intercultural Communication” Mombekova M.M.

Honesty, as the most important moral category, is considered today not only in the context of personal qualities of a person, but also as the basis for the formation of a just, legal and developed society. In this regard, the main objective of the event was to educate students in a conscious attitude to moral principles, justice, personal responsibility, as well as in the formation of internal readiness to resist any manifestations of corruption and dishonesty.

In her opening remarks, the curator emphasized that honesty is the foundation of professional and personal reputation, and the quality of human relations, trust in society, and the effectiveness of the education system largely depend on compliance with these principles. The participants of the curatorial hour were presented with specific examples from everyday and academic life, demonstrating the importance of honest behavior. During the discussion, the students analyzed the causes of dishonesty, the possible consequences of such acts, as well as ways to prevent them.

Special attention was paid to the formation of an anti-corruption culture in the educational environment. Ways to prevent academic dishonesty, such as plagiarism, cheating, and data distortion, were discussed. The curator emphasized that the fight against corruption begins with everyone’s personal choice — to be honest in school, at work, and in relationships with others.

Interactive methods were used during the event: open discussion, exchange of opinions, work with situations, analysis of real cases. The students showed activity, interest, and readiness for an open dialogue.

According to the results of the curatorial hour, conclusions were drawn about the importance of constant development of moral attitudes, the need for systematic work on the formation of a culture of honesty as a key aspect of educating future specialists with a high level of social and professional responsibility.
