On behalf of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the implementation of an international program within the framework of the project “Program of Action against Drugs in Central Asia, Phase 7” (CADAP 7), funded by the European Union, a pilot program has begun at Bolashaq Academy.

Abdrakhmanova Alua Sabitovna, PhD, Head of the Department of Pedagogy and Chairman of the NGO “Umit” Smailova Gulmira Maratovna worked with students to prevent risky behavior and preserve psychological health. This work is carried out as part of the implementation of the work plan of the psychological service with students.

Students of the PiP-24-1, PMNO-24-1c, and Dov-24-1k groups participated in the training. We got acquainted with the main theoretical areas that formed the basis of the training, which are: Albert Bandura’s Theory of Social Learning, the Theory of rational action (I. Ajzen, M. Fishbein, 1980), the Theory of problematic behavior (R. Jessor, 1987).

They performed introductory exercises on getting to know each other, exercises on establishing communication and creating a safe environment in a team, developing self-esteem, increasing self-esteem, etc.

Working with students on the pilot of the international addiction prevention program consists of 15 sessions. The sessions were devoted to conflict resolution, anger management, hate, positive decision-making, addiction management, etc. The students actively participated in the exercises, discussed and drew conclusions on the preservation of psychological health.
