November 28, 2022 Advisor of the Department of Pedagogy Baibekova V.A. held a curatorial hour with students of groups PiP-20-2, PMNO-20-2 on the topic “30 years of Kazakhstan’s membership in the UN”.
Exactly 30 years ago, on January 23, 1992, the UN Security Council at its 3034th meeting unanimously adopted resolution 732 (1992), in which it considered the application of the Republic of Kazakhstan for membership in the United Nations and proposed to the General Assembly “Adopt the Republic of Kazakhstan as a member UN”.
The President of the Council called the decision a “genuine historic event” in a statement on behalf of the members of the Security Council. He expressed his confidence in this decision and underlined: “We have no doubt that Kazakhstan will be able to make a significant contribution to all areas of the work of the United Nations.”
