October 14th is an extraordinary day! Why? Because the first meeting of the psychological club “Personality Plus” on the theme “Interesting research in the history of psychology and modern science (retrospective and the results of scientific student work)” was held this academic year, which was attended by students from freshmen to graduates of specialty “Pedagogy and psychology” full-time and part-time education.
The meeting was opened by Frida Rotan, president of the Psychology Club, and she not only told about her future plans for the upcoming academic year, but also sincerely shared the fact that the psychological science and the opportunity to participate in the club’s work open to her.
The study of “Value determination of professionally significant qualities of potential employees” was conducted by Taisia Babayeva, a graduate of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology, who solved an interesting psychological problem, which is that “the technical department of the business center requires an employee to work with documents. Two young specialists, who graduated from the university with red diplomas, were selected on a competitive basis and equally successfully passed the criterion – indicative tests to check their special knowledge. In order to approve an employee for a serious position, the manager needs psychological characteristics of the value profile of applicants. What recommendations for employment of this or that applicant can be given by the psychological service of the business center? Taisia successfully solved this psychodiagnostic problem by comparing the empirical results of the applicants’ value profile with the data of the psychogram.
Alina Duleyeva, through the study of priority “models of the proper” value scale in the family and marital relations of the spouses, provided the necessary psychological help to the subject for the analysis of the situation and comprehension of the prospects of her own life. In defense of her research Alina showed bright emotionality and enough persuasiveness, competent fixation of experimental data and unique author’s handwriting in interpretation of the research results.
The problem with Zere Kulsariyeva’s independent research is that two teachers came to the school to participate in the inclusive education program, who were equally successful in the interview and showed sufficient methodological knowledge. But Zere stressed that inclusive education is now an innovative process that allows for the learning, education and development of all children without exception, regardless of their individual characteristics, learning achievements, culture, mental and physical abilities.
That is why, said Zere, teachers must have not only methodological and information knowledge, but also personal readiness to accept children, regardless of their individual manifestations. This position, according to the author, determines the necessity to study the priority “models of due” in the value positions of applicants for pedagogical activity with special children – this psychological problem was professionally solved by the graduate and gave the school administration the opportunity to choose the right teacher.
Frida Rotan and Anna Kazybekova moved us from student initiatives in independent research into the history of psychology, which inspired us to immerse the inherent “in games that people play.
The students demonstrated the essence of the famous Transact Analysis by E. Bern through the role-playing positions in interpersonal relationships. Reflecting freely and in flight, Anna outlined the boundaries of the ego-state of a “parent and adult child” so that the members of the club could define, using methodological tools, their transactional code – believe me, this is an interesting and useful activity, as it unexpectedly opens “to you – to yourself”.
I am glad that the final of our meeting was the desire of freshmen to prove themselves in the next meeting of the psychological club “Personality Plus”.
