On October 24, 2024, a festive day was held at the Bolashaq Academy, filled with solemn events dedicated to the upcoming Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which is celebrated on October 25.
We remind readers that it was on this day, in 1990, that the Declaration of State Sovereignty of Kazakhstan was adopted, which marked the beginning of the country’s independent path. This historical document laid the political and legal foundations for the sovereignty of the Kazakh SSR and became an important milestone on the path to the formation of independent Kazakhstan. And in 2001, Republic Day was officially included in the list of public holidays. After some break, the holiday was returned by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym–Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev, who returned it to the list of celebrated dates in 2022, receiving the status of a national holiday.
Today, various events were held at the Bolashaq Academy within the framework of this day, united by the common idea of patriotism and national unity. One of the highlights was the simultaneous performance of the national anthem of Kazakhstan by all students at 10:00, which symbolized unity and pride in their country. All students from all over our vast homeland participated in this action – from the snow–capped mountains of Altai and the blue Caspian Sea and from the longest tributary of the Irtysh – Ishim in the north to the spurs of the Tien Shan Mountains in the south.
At 12:30, according to the plan of events held on this day at the Academy: teachers and students put on national costumes, emphasizing respect for the cultural traditions of Kazakhstan. And it was not by chance, as the best of the students were awarded diplomas, in commemoration of the eve of the Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The main event of the day was a patriotic concert prepared by the Student Government of the KDM and all departments of the Academy.
The solemn part of the concert program was opened with a welcoming speech by the rector of the Bolashaq Academy Rysmaganbetova G.M., in which she stressed the importance of this day and the importance of the Declaration of Sovereignty of the Republic of Kazakhstan as a symbol of the country’s independence. The Rector recalled that the future of Kazakhstan depends on every citizen and on his desire for development and prosperity.
The students of the Academy performed musical and creative performances dedicated to the history, culture and independence of Kazakhstan. National songs, poems and works of art were played, reflecting the centuries-old traditions of the people and celebrating their achievements.
The festive events were held in an atmosphere of national unity, and left deep impressions on all participants. This day was an important reminder of how important it is to protect sovereignty and be proud of the achievements of your country.
