The Bolashaq Academy’s Department of Foreign Languages and Intercultural Communication held a curatorial hour for full—time students of the In-23-1,2, In-24,1K, 2k groups: “Foreign language: two foreign languages”. The topic of the event was watching video interviews with convicts for drug supply in Kazakhstan.

The purpose of this event was to increase the legal literacy of students, to form an informed attitude towards legislation and to prevent possible offenses among young people. The students were able to visually see the consequences of drug trafficking through the real stories of people in prison.
After watching the video, a discussion took place during which students actively shared their thoughts, analyzed the causes and consequences of crimes, and discussed the role of the state and society in the fight against drug trafficking. Special attention was paid to the legislation of Kazakhstan in this area and measures to prevent crime among young people.


The department’s advisors noted the high level of student engagement, their conscious approach to the topic, and their willingness to engage in constructive dialogue. Following the curatorial hour, the students expressed their gratitude to the organizers for the opportunity to better understand the importance of observing the law and leading a healthy lifestyle.
Such events will be continued in the future with the aim of comprehensive development of students, forming their responsible attitude to the legal and social issues of modern society.
