The Department of Science and International Cooperation of the Academy “Bolashaq” is an independent structural unit coordinating the scientific, innovative and international activities of the Academy. The Department reports directly to the Vice-Rector for Research and International Cooperation. In its activities, management is guided by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Charter of the Academy and internal regulations.
The main tasks of the Department are the organization and support of fundamental and applied research, the development of international cooperation, the preparation of agreements and memorandums, participation in grant projects, and an increase in the publication activity of the teaching staff. In addition, the department provides editorial and publishing support for scientific journals of the Academy, including the journal “Actual Problems of the Present”, and contributes to the commercialization of scientific research results.
Management functions:
- development and implementation of annual and long-term plans of scientific and international activities;
- organization of preparation and examination of research projects;
- reporting on grants, publications and scientific events;
- facilitating the participation of faculty in national and international scientific programs;
- preparation and support of documents for ratings and accreditations;
- coordination of interaction with the Scientific and Technical Council, departments and other structural divisions of the Academy;
- providing a high-quality issue of the scientific journal “Actual Problems of the Present”: planning of issues, organization of peer review, promotion to international databases.
In its activities, the Department actively interacts with the Scientific and Technical Council, departments, library, IT center, as well as with external scientific and educational organizations, contributing to the development of academic science and international cooperation.
